Setting up warehouses and tracking stock

Add a warehouse for each branch, see the stock of every product, and transfer products between stores in Cashier POS.

Quick answer

  1. Go to Warehouse → Warehouses.
  2. Select Add warehouse and name it.
  3. Open a warehouse to see stock per product.
  4. Use Transfer products to move stock to another store.

Steps

  1. Add a warehouse. Go to Warehouse → Warehouses and select Add warehouse. A common setup is one warehouse per branch (for example SoHo Stock).
  2. See stock. Open a warehouse to see each product’s Available quantity.
  3. Bring stock in. Stock is added through purchase invoices (see the next article) or by importing your product list.
  4. Move stock between branches. Select Transfer products, choose Transfer from store and Transfer to store, the products and the Quantity to transfer, then save. Both counts update.
  5. Sales take stock out. Every sale reduces stock in its branch’s warehouse.
