# How to record your first sale

Start a session, add products by name or barcode, choose the order type and payment method, and print the invoice. Your first sale, step by step.

Quick answer

1.  Select Start session.
2.  Select New Order.
3.  Add products by name or barcode.
4.  Choose the order type and payment method.
5.  Enter the paid amount and check out.
6.  Print the invoice.

## Steps

1.  **Start a session.** Select Start session in the side menu. You can’t sell without an open session. It keeps each cashier’s sales and payments together.
2.  **Open a new order.** Select New Order from the Dashboard or Sales → Orders.
3.  **Add products.** Search by name or barcode. Pick a size or variant, add modifiers (for example extra shot or oat milk), and set the quantity.
4.  **Choose the order type.** Dine In, Takeaway, Pickup, Delivery or Talabat. For delivery, add the customer and their address.
5.  **Apply a discount or promo code** if needed.
6.  **Take payment.** Choose Cash, Credit card or Transfer and enter the Paid Amount. Cashier POS shows the Change or the Remaining balance.
7.  **Check out and print.** Confirm the order and select Print Invoice.

Tips

A customer can pay part now and the rest later: use Collect Payment on the order. Cancelling an order needs an admin PIN.
